I am currently counting down the days until I get to return to the beautiful Cornwall for my second (eek!) year at university. Now that I am moving into a house, I'm incredibly excited to kit out my new bedroom and make it feel incredibly homely and like my Mother, I love going out and buying home accessories.

My latest buys have been strings of bunting, cushions and little ornaments and Ebay has once again become my helpful friend; I have been able to pick up so much there for such small prices, great considering I'm on a tight budget.

However, I've been doing a bit of internet browsing to give me some inspirational ideas, so if I had the money.....

So basically all I need is a lot of money and an awesome view and we are sorted! Not too much to ask?!

Shh! It's A Secret!

I am an avid follower of the blog PostSecret; a blog where followers are asked to send in their secrets anonymously on a postcard and a select few are entered on to the website every Sunday . Some are funny, some serious, and some incredibly moving. An entry on the website this week (second picture) was an emailed response to a secret posted last weekend (the first picture) and it really tugged on my heartstrings:

This is what I love about the website, several posts are always followed by email responses from those who share the same secret and want to reach out to this anonymous person. It sort of makes me smile inside that despite all the hate in the world that if we look hard enough kindness still exists.

London Riots

This post is largely going to end up as a rant, but I am utterly disgusted at the behaviour of certain individuals! I am so angry because this gives people in my age group such a bad reputation when actually, it's some thuggish individuals. I was horrified to see this video on the news this afternoon:

I cannot believe people can stoop to such low levels. However, this photo of a couple who made tea for officers trying to deal with the riots in Camden really touches my heart; something more uplifting than the images we have all seen in the media.
