Two weekends ago I was visiting my grandmother when I came across several antique tea sets of hers which are doing nothing but sitting in this giant cabinet gathering dust. I think it is such a shame that we rarely ever have the traditional English afternoon tea first pioneered by the 7th Duchess of Bedford Anna Marie Russell; most of us barely have time to grab a quick coffee before we rush off somewhere else. But I love the idea of taking time to sit down with the finest china and stands full of little cakes, sandwiches and scones, there's something very grand and elegant about it.
I've been browsing through a large number of pictures of different tea sets, here are just a few of my favourites:
Although, I am determined to have this tea set one day, this is just amazing:

Summer has finally arrived in my hectic law-filled life! I have just finished all my first year university level exams, which means a whole four and a half months of total chillaxing time. I am very excited about this as you can probably imagine. Here are just a few of my favourite things about summer:
Holidays.
This year I am jetting off to sunny Kefalonia, Greece with my family and I cannot wait. We will be staying in a tiny little non-touristy fishing village and I will be spending my time relaxing on the beach reading one of the many classic novels I vow to read this morning, or taking a boat trip around some of the smaller islands; pure bliss
Long Evenings.
I think this is probably most people's favourite thing; we are no longer all depressed about it being dark at 5pm, instead we can all get home from work and kick back in the garden with a glass of wine and enjoy the rest of the evening's sunshine
BBQs.
I absolutely love BBQ food, I feel a little less guilty about pigging out when I'm eating Aussie style; everything just seems a lot healthier!
Road Trips.
Taking off in the car with some great mates into the unknown. I love just getting lost in the middle of nowhere- it usually leads to the discovery of some great places, a secluded beach, a great pub. Lovely.
